MobiLab is a professional phone repair specialist operating in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor, Malaysia. We operate from two locations — Wisma Cosway, Kuala Lumpur and Plaza Idaman, Medan Idaman.

This Privacy Policy explains how MobiLab ("we", "us", "our") handles information when you visit our website at mobilab.my or contact us for repair services.

Information We Collect

We collect very minimal information when you use our website:

• WhatsApp messages - when you click our WhatsApp link and contact us, your message is handled through WhatsApp (Meta). We use your message only to reply to your enquiry, arrange appointments, and discuss repair service details.
• Phone calls - if you call us directly, we may use the information you provide to respond to your enquiry or arrange repair service. No call data is collected through this website.
• Repair service details - when you bring a device to us for repair, we may record limited service information such as your contact details, device model, reported issue, repair status, and invoice or warranty details where needed to complete the repair.
• Device information brought in for repair - we handle your device solely for repair and testing. We do not access, copy, or store personal files, photos, messages, contacts, or accounts from your device.

We do not operate any contact forms, registration systems, email newsletters or user accounts on this website. We do not collect your name, email address, or other contact details through website forms.

Cookies & Tracking

Our website does not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies or analytics cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel or any other tracking technology.

The only cookies that may be set are basic technical cookies required for the website to function properly (for example, WordPress session cookies). These do not track you across other websites and contain no personal information.

Third-Party Services

Our website uses the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy:

Your Device During Repair

When you bring a device to MobiLab for repair, we treat your data with the utmost respect:

• We do not access, read or copy any personal files, photos, messages, contacts or accounts on your device.
• Your device remains in our workshop throughout the repair and is never taken to any third-party location.
• We may need to briefly power on your device to test the repair — this is done in your presence at collection where possible.
• We recommend backing up your data before any repair. While we take every precaution, we cannot be held responsible for data loss arising from pre-existing device faults.

Google Maps & Location Data

Our Contact Us page embeds Google Maps to show our two locations. When you view or interact with the map, Google may collect information including your IP address and location data if you have location services enabled in your browser. This is governed by Google's own privacy policy and is beyond our control.

You can view our locations without interacting with the map by using the Get Directions links which open Google Maps directly in your browser.

Links to Other Websites

Our website contains links to third-party websites including Google Maps, Google Reviews and WhatsApp. Once you leave our website, we are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to read their privacy policies.

Children's Privacy

Our website is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.
